Urinary catheterisation is a medical procedure used to drain and collect urine from the bladder. Often used during medical examinations, during operations or on patients who cannot get out of bed, our catheterisation products have been manufactured to a high standard.
During the process, a thin, flexible tube called a catheter is inserted into the bladder, either along the urethra with a urethral catheter, or through a hole in the abdomen directly into the bladder using a suprapubic catheter. The catheter usually remains in the bladder, allowing urine to flow through it and into a drainage bag.
